NANJING JINGWEI Patent & Trademark Agency Co., Ltd was found in 1985 and was the first intellectual property law firm transformed from former institutional patent offices. After 25 years of development, JINGWEI has grown up to a medium-sized IP law firm with offices in Nanjing, Beijing, Wuxi, Xuzhou, Nantong, Zhenjiang and Suzhou. Our practice areas cover all major fields from patent and trademark search, application filing, copyright protection to infringement litigation and other related IP affairs.

We have approximately 100 professionals including 5 lawyers and 27 Patent and Trademark attorneys. Over 90% of the team members have been working in this field for over 10 years. Our expertise covers all major disciplines from traditional technologies such as mechanics, chemistry and electrical engineering to high technologies such as communications, computer network, bio-technology, and etc. In addition, some professionals are capable of handling Korean and Japanese language as their mother tongue.

In the past decades, JINGWEI has represented over 10,000 patent applications. In year 2009, about 7000 patent applications have been filed, in which 3000 cases are invention applications. JINGWEI acts for a broad range of universities and research institutions as well as local enterprises. The firm has formed close working relationship with an extensive network of leading law firms in over 40 countries. According to the latest statistics, in 2010, JINGWEI was ranked 12th out of more than 1,000 IP Firms based on the number of patent applications filed with the SIPO. 90% of these applications were made on behalf of Chinese citizens and enterprises.

With the support from the Intellectual property Office of Jiangsu Province, JINGWEI has organized several training seminars in IP field in order to promote the popularization of IP knowledge to local enterprises. These activities caused strong reaction and attracted participants from national wide.
